Gut, dass ein BMX Parcours für gewöhnlich eine insektenfreie Zone ist – sonst müsste das Publikum der Street Session am 29./30. November im Berliner Velodrom wohl auf Nachwuchsrider Harry Main verzichten.

Der 17-Jährige Brite sorgte bereits bei der diesjährigen Summer Session in Pinneberg bei Hamburg für eine fette Überraschung und fuhr in einem spannenden Finale gegen BMX Legende Dave Osato aus Kanada in der Miniramp den ersten Platz an.

Wenn sein Riesentalent nicht ausreichen sollte, dann wird Main bei der Street Session zu ungewöhnlicheren Maßnahmen greifen. Was uns und vor allem seine Rider-Kollegen da so erwarten wird, verriet uns der coole Typ mit dem trockenen Humor bei einem Plausch aus dem Nähkästchen.

No this already will be my 3rd ride at T-Mobile Extreme Playgrounds.

What do you think about the combination of action sports and music at the T-Mobile Extreme Playgrounds?
It doesn’t get any better! As long as there are chicks. ;)

The Offspring and Sugarplum Fairy are confirmed yet. With which of them you will party the most?
Sugarplum Fairy are quite good, but I´m definitely looking forward to rock with The Offspring!

Do such events belong to your special life or is it something like routine?
This year I did a lot of travelling so I´m definitely getting used to go from event to event. However - I´m still loving it!

The best rider of the world will compete against each other. How will you take down the competitions?
Haha, that´s an easy thing to do: I´ll take people out on the course with a star wars light saver.

Which attributes does someone need most pressing to become a successful pro rider?
You need a good attitude. Because being a pro rider is more about meeting people and talking than actually riding the bike.

How have you come to BMX?
That was quite simple: I just got a bike and started riding!

How many hours did you spend on wheels, standing your first fat trick?
I honestly don’t know maybe a couple.

What happened at your most horrible accident?
I had blood coming out of my ears! It was crazy.

How many hours do you exercise per week?
I really don´t have any idea, I don´t count, I just get up and go ride!

Which extreme sports do you like else?
I think street skating is ok… and inline vert I guess.

If you are allowed to choose the bands, who would rock the stage?
The band with the hottest chicks in metal: Eyes set to kill!

At whom do you look up?
There are a lot, but for example I´d say Dave Mirra or Scotty Cranmer.

Is there anything that fears you?
I guess, I really don´t like insects...!
